Freshman forward Noah Vonleh leads all players in points and rebounds with nine and six, respectively. Vonleh scored the game’s first five points.
Michigan State is led in scoring by junior forward Branden Dawson, who has eight points for the Spartans.
Both teams shot 40 percent from the floor, with Michigan State going 10-for-25 and Indiana shooting 8-for-20. The Hoosiers outscored the Spartans on the free throw line, going 10-for-13 against the Spartans’ 5-for-9.
Michigan State sophomore guard Gary Harris, who scored 26 points on Jan. 4 against the Hoosiers, got in early foul trouble and scored just four points on 2-for-5 shooting. He has two fouls.
